- Boscovitch, Alexander Uriah
- (1907-64)Israeli composer. He was born in Cluj, Transylvania, and conducted the Jewish Goldmark Orchestra there. In 1938 he settled in Palestine, and later became a music critic for the daily paper Ha-Aretz. He advocated the development of a nationalist school of composition in which the composer would represent the new reality of life in Palestine.
